When Cape Town actress, Danica Jones briefly appeared on Generations The Legacy to play a bisexual character named Tamryn, tweeps took to Twitter to find out if she’s somehow related to Thusi or if she’s Thusi herself.
When Jones got several DM’s from Thusi’s fans, she cleared up the misunderstanding in a 14 second video on twitter:
“Hi guys, so to answer all the messages that I’ve been getting… no I am not related to Pearl Thusi nor am I Pearl Thusi. My name is Danica Jones.”
TV host, Phumeza Mdabe has also been mistaken to Thusi when she first appeared on our screens several years ago to host Our Perfect Wedding. Mdabe currently hosts a new show called, Abandoned on mzansi magic where she connects adults who were abandoned as children to reconnect with their parents.
